Can I Really Erase My Tattoo?

The answer is yes. Even if you have tattoos on every inch of your body, they can eventually be erased given enough time and treatments. Tattoos used to be permanent, but that was then and this is now.

When should I get my tattoo removed?

The best time of year to have tattoo removal treatments is during the fall and winter months. This is because the lighter your skin is, the easier it is for the laser to target the ink in your skin for removal. Finally, an upside to not having a tan!

How does tattoo removal work?

We use 100% sterile lasers to target the ink pigments in your skin. The laser can be tuned to many different frequencies depending on the color of the ink being targeted.

The laser breaks up the pigments and dislodges them so they leave your skin and are absorbed into your bloodstream. Since the sessions are short enough that your body doesn’t absorb a huge amount of ink, there are no side effects to the natural disposal of the ink by your body.

What if my tattoo is big or complicated?

Big or complicated tattoos are still removable. The only difference is that it may take longer sessions to remove a tattoo with many layers or with many colors. The laser can target any color of ink, but can only remove one color at a time. So the length of the procedure will depend on how big the tattoo is and how many colors it contains.

First things first, we need to see your tattoo before we make a plan for how to remove and how long you can expect it to take. Call us now at 417-720-1672  or set up an appointment online to schedule a free tattoo removal consultation.
